What to Expect
From the moment you arrive until you leave for the day, guests are special to us!
Everything we do is designed to make you comfortable in our church. You might find that we love to shake hands and even give hugs-but only if you let us!
Parking:
Our members have left the best parking spaces open for you to use, up near the front of the building. You will also find additional parking available behind the church.
Outdoor Greeters:
Have you ever wanted to come to church, but weather conditions, health conditions, or other factors kept you at home because of your concern for the walk from your car to the church door? No longer do you need to stay home. Old North UMC have Outdoor Greeters who will welcome you in the parking lot, walk with you from your car, carry an umbrella for you, take your arm, or just say “hi” to you when you arrive.
The Outdoor Greeters are in front and back parking . The will be available before and after the Worship Service. We want all of our congregation to feel comfortable coming and going from church, please let us help you.
Welcome Center:
When you enter our building, there will be greeters to welcome you. You will also find our Ushers will be able to assist you from finding the Nursery and other areas of interest.
What About My Children?
Your children are also special to us. We have a staffed Nursery for infants and toddlers up to 3 years of age. Children 3 years of age to 5th Grade begin worship in the Sanctuary with their families and are invited to Sunday School after the Children’s Message.
Sunday Worship Service:
Join us for an enriching Traditional Worship Service at 9:30 am. Most people arrive between 9:00 - 9:20 AM. Receivers for the hearing-impaired are available from the ushers. During the offertory, please sign the registration form so that we may welcome you.
Following Worship:
Please join us for coffee and donuts in the Fellowship Hall, following the Worship, so that we can properly welcome you.
What Should I Wear?
Dress comfortably. Some people dress up, and some wear casual and comfortable clothes.
