United Methodist Women

PURPOSE
The organized unit of UMW shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
Membership in UMW is open to any woman of the church who desires to belong and to participate in the total program through:
Spiritual growth
Mission education
Christian social involvement
Support for women, children and youth
Old North UMW is involved in a spiritual growth study three weeks of the year; School of Christian Mission studies each year in the summer; an extensive reading program offering books on all four mission emphases of the purpose; social events of the church; support of local, national and world wide missions.
